The master shipwright, G. C. Peckelhering in Kolberg, built the "Grosse Jacht," also called "Golden Yacht," in 1678-1679. She carried 8 three-pounder canons and was a good sailing vessel. She served as a prototype for the construction of other ships for Prince Wilhelm III of Oranien.

The model is made of ivory and ebony to a scale of 1/8" to 1 foot with gilt decorations and carvings. The rigging was done with hand made linen ropes. She is housed in an ebony glass case accented with ivory.
